Practice History
Dr Glenn Littenberg opened a solo GI practice in Pasadena in 1978 and within a year invited Dr Steven Petit to join him. We expanded to a group of 4 when joined in 1999 by Dr Casey Fu (who also has a PhD degree in Nutrition from UCLA) and in 2004 by Dr Waleed Shindy (who also has a Masters of Public Health degree from UCLA). In 2002 we launched the doctor-owned and -managed Pasadena Endoscopy Center (PEC) together with the physicians of Alliance Digestive Disease Consultants Medical Group. In 2009 and 2010 we are proud that together we screened nearly 8,000 patients each year for colon cancer at our Center! We are nationally accredited and have been certified as a Center of Excellence by the American Society for GI Endoscopy. In 2012 our group is becoming a division of Southern California Gastroenterology Associates, with 33 gastroenterologists in 12 offices across the San Gabriel and San Fernando Valleys. Among many other things, this will enable us to develop a comprehensive electronic medical record and coordinate your care better with many other medical groups.
